Hello, as a preparedness specialist in my Branch I receive requests of where to find food storage items so this year I started out a tiny company that sells only 2 or 3 items so far: food grade buckets, wheat grinder and food storage software. I live in the UK and most stuff is hard to find for local members. The company goal is to buy items in bulk so I can get a discount which should help people to prepare.

My questions are:
how do I reach the local LDS people to inform them about the company?
Which items should I propose?
Is t worth enquiring with some US companies as now the dollar is much cheaper (but custom tax is still high?)

Just basic stuff for 72 hour packs and food storage/other items storage.

If this post is not appropriate, just delete it! I won't be offended. I thought I would ask you guys about it. I will also post it in other LDS forums!

Thanks

Dolcezza

Sorry, no ideas as of yet. But I did check out the website and it looks great! I'm impressed at your willingness and motivation to put something like this together. If I think of anything I'll let you know. Good luck!

Hey! Contact Frank Davis, explained who you are, where you are, and that you are Laura Warburton's friend.....(not that it would get you that much further ahead! But at least he will know you're not a sneaky competitor)....let him know what you are doing and see if he can provide you with contacts to order wholesale gear. I just realized I can't put his email right here, so I'll pm you.

thanx again! I was thinking, would there be a market for greetings cards? They would be cartoony, LDS oriented, on subjects such as preparation, missionary work and typical LDS topics. They could be offered as a reward for buying certain items or sold on their own. Where do you guys go looking for a card? I have contacted this guy and I hope to get a reply.
