The Miami-Dade County Health Department announced on Wednesday that two more people have died as a result of H1N1 Swine Flu. The latest deaths bring the total number of Miami-Dade County deaths due to swine flu to 21.

The deaths highlight the fears of many parents, school systems, and businesses as to what will happen if a major outbreak happens with H1N1. A bigger problem could exist for patients as some local doctors will refuse to treat patients who are sick and have been exposed to someone with the swine flu.

The Miami-Dade County Health Department said it continues enhanced surveillance to catch any potential outbreak before it hits. It also reiterated that anyone who becomes symptomatic should stay home and away from work or school to avoid spreading infections. Health officials also remind everyone to wash your hands frequently to lessen the spread of respiratory illness.
