Interesting about burying the seedlings' stems as they are growing up... I think I might try that. I don't use grow lights, either. I've left two in a cup before because I just couldn't decide which one to kill... but I've never left three of them together. I guess he doesn't use tomato cages...?? I've had two in cages together before.

I'm so excited to see if my saved seeds actually grow! :w00t:

I had not heard of that either.... I'm going to give it a try... I'm stating to get a couple of little seedlings... I'm using grow lights.

I have a friend that tried some hydroponic planters this year, and she got 70 pounds of tomatoes from four plants! These things were like 6' tall bushes and filled with tomatoes. She got more tomatoes in 10 square feet on her back patio than I did in my whole garden.

I'm going to be doing the same next year so I'll be able to report on how it goes, with photos and everything. Can't wait as I have not had much success with tomatoes because of all the walnut trees around here.
