Summer 2010 food
Since this might be the last summer we're all alive (hi, thermo! :l0 (58):)
I thought some good summer recipes would be in order.
Tonight we had crockpot sloppy joes and corn on the cob. Yum. Yum. Yum.
Crockpot Sloppy Joes
3 lbs. hamburger
1 C. chopped onion
3 cloves garlic
1 1/4 C. ketchup
1 C. chopped red bell
5 T. Worchestershire sauce
4 T. brown sugar
3 T. mustard
3 T. vinegar
2 t. chili powder
Brown beef, onion and garlic. Place in crockpot and mix together with remaining ingredients. Low 6-8 hours.
Also good for dipping tortilla chips or making nachos. :l0 (3):

Here's one of our favorites in the crockpot.
Beef with Onions & Peppers (Hot & Sweet)
Put a beef brisket in the crockpot with your favorite seasonings.
Let it cook for at least 8 hours.
Pull the meat apart, put back in the crockpot with the sliced onions, green bell peppers & sliced pepperocini's.
Cook for another couple of hours.
Serve on your favorite rolls - we love hard rolls cuz the juice makes 'em yummy.
