Just a thought for those of you who may have infants to care for in an extended disaster situation: have you stocked those old-fashioned cloth diapers? And large pins! I'm not sure that the bird's eye or gauze diapers are even available anymore. I remember my mother cutting up cotton flannel to make diapers for my younger siblings when she was expecting them. Very nice in winter, especially. I expect that the plastic panties to put over diapers are pretty scarce now, but you might improvise with Saran wrap maybe? I don't think that I'll have any infants to care for myself, but may put by some diapers and baby stuff, especially bottles and nipples, just in case, for less prepared neighbors. phylm
