Had a couple nights of freeze last week. Put an end to my row of French Horticulural beans, which were were within a couple of weeks of being ready to pick and can. They make such good succotash. Hubby turned on the overhead sprinklers over the carrots, beets, cabbage, red potatoes, brocolli, etc., so they're coming along nicely. Swiss chard is almost ready to start picking. And he's still picking his precious thornless raspberries! They're only putting out a few red berries every few days, but they are persistent. I put about a cupful every week in his temple trip lunch now.

Have to order sweet onions soon for January 4th delivery. He wants a lot more than he planted last year. He pulled approximately 500 big beautiful red, yellow and white ones, that we sold at Farmers' Market, so we can probably handle at least twice that amount this spring. He's cleaning out the greenhouse ready for planting trays next month. North Florida has its drawbacks, but it is nearly heaven for gardeners.
