I love honey, but am really, really allergic to bee stings.
When hives get too big, they make another queen and she leaves with half the hive to find a new home.
Not sure why, but when we still lived in AZ, they sure liked to "hold up" for a few days in my backyard while they searched for that suitable new home.
We couldn't even let our dogs out to do their business, as the bees would come after them.
After that first time, the beekeeper I called said most AZ bees were Africanized so they would not remove them, but offered to kill them.
I said, "Super cool!"
I don't want them moved, I want them dead, come on over and do your thing.
Over the years down there in AZ, I think I ended up calling that same guy back 4 or 5 times.
