    Here is the list I gave my preppers when they groaned at the idea of eating "food storage." I've been passing on recipes to them, and I'll be glad to post some here from time to time if you'd like them.

    *Most entrees served with vegetables,
    either canned, frozen, dehydrated, or fresh from our garden, along with home-made pickles, jam, jelly and salads

    *Meats are canned, freeze dried, or
    dehydrated.

    Yeast breads can be pan-fried in a quarter inch of oil for speed or lack of baking capability. Fritter recipes are deep-fried, of course, but muffins and corn bread can also be fried like pancakes in a pinch.

    Default Sample Food Storage Meals

    Here's a new favorite for my family using all pantry items.

    Souper Beef

    2 pint-sized jars home canned roast beef
    11 oz can French Onion Soup
    11 oz can condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
    11 oz can condensed Golden Mushroom Soup

    To a pot, add the soups and the roast beef. Include any broth from the canned beef. Heat through and serve.

    This is a deliciously easy meal. We like it over egg noodles or mashed potatoes. Sometimes we like to change it up a bit with some green pepper, mushrooms, parsley, rosemary, red cooking wine. This makes great hot roast beef sandwiches with gravy. Completely change it up and turn it into delicious stew by adding potato chunks, carrots, celery. (When using the home-canned beef, I use any liquid in the jar too. Shred the beef and mix with the soups.

    When my mom passed away, I saved her recipes. This is one I think is from the depression era. I haven't tried it, so I don't know what it would taste like.
    I think it would be a good idea to have Spam in storage, since it isn't expensive and can store well. Here it is:
    LAST MINUTE SUPPER
    1 can Spam
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    2 T butter
    1 Can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of celery or
    asparagus)
    1/2 C Milk
    2 C cubed cooked potatoes (4 medium sized)
    2 T chopped parsley
    Dash of pepper
    Lightly brown meat and onion in butter until tender. Blend in soup
    and milk and the rest of the ingredients. Cook over low heat for 10
    minutes. Stir often
