Default great article on levels of preparedness/modular

There's a great article on Wednesday's Survivalblog about how we prepare for problems/disasters. The article put into words something I've been doing but I lacked a clear focus and understanding.

Level 1: What do you have with you all the time that will help your survival? This can include cash, pocket knife, etc.; the things in your pocket or purse. (I have a small Swiss army knife, a flashlight, etc.)

Level 2: You should be able to use Level 1 resources to reach Level 2, perhaps your car. Ideally there will be enough in the car for up to 72 hours, including food, water, shelter provisions, etc.

Level 3: Your bug out or bug in place. Your Level 1 and 2 supplies help you reach Level 3, where your complete supplies are located.

Anyway, I just finished packing the car with everything from a camp stove to a sleeping bag and a whistle attached to a copy of the Morse Code. But I never understood exactly what I was doing until I read this. I really recommend it.
