So, no one had used this http://flojak.com/ when this was originally posted, has anyone had any experience with it since then? There is a lady in the area that who installs a hand pump along side your well pump for a couple hundred dollars. The local pump company doesn't like the system as they say it is "glued" in and they have to break through to service a pump if needed, the hand pump is then broken. The well company will install a pump like is in campgrounds, all-weather, for $2800 or at least 10 times the other system. The flojak of course varies in price according to depth of well etc. but the equipment seems to be about $700, not including installation which they say is fairly simple.

This flojak also says it can be used to pressurize the who house system in the event of an electrical failure. What do you think?

I wish I had a well to cause me to "look" into this... In the meantime, keep us posted as to what you do.
$700 sounds a lot better than $2800.
Good Luck!
